We had the objective of promoting the new season of Gossip Girl on HBO Max through a captivating local stunt that would resonate with Brazilians. At that time, João Guilherme was a daily sensation on Twitter, with his name consistently trending in various discussions revolving around topics such as his romantic encounters, alleged infidelity, and other intriguing gossip. Recognizing his immense popularity, we deemed João Guilherme as the perfect choice for our Gossip Girl stunt.
The video was filled with delightful Easter eggs that added an extra layer of charm.
One of these hidden gems was the striking resemblance between the female dancer accompanying João Guilherme and one of his past lovers, subtly alluding to their romantic history. Moreover, the paparazzi character portrayed in the video was an actual TikTok sensation. This casting choice brought an authentic touch to the scene and resonated with viewers familiar with the vibrant world of social media. Furthermore, keen-eyed viewers would have noticed the male dancer's resemblance to an actor from the show, creating a seamless connection between the stunt and the series.
